Yet another arctic wasteland/icelandic mountain/cold tundra/whatever else map. This one is pretty much exactly like Blackstone Peaks, but even better. Yes, they look completely identical, however I promise you, Icelandia exceeds everywhere that Blackstone Peaks falls short.
For one, Iclandia is a ridgeline, whereas the former is a series and collection of peaks. This ridgeline makes an 's' formastion cutting diagonally across the entire map. There are smaller rock outcrops, but the main feature of this terrain is the ridge, which in some places nearly exceeds the height limit.
Additionally, the snow is much much smoother. The previous map was one of my first painting snow/frost layers, and I guess it was decent as a first attempt, but it was clear in the screenshots that there were some mistakes. In Icelandia, however, a large amount of the map is completely cold tundra, following the accents of the ridgeline. The snow is much smoother and looks much better.
However, due to the fact that Icelandia is an even larger map than Blacostone Peaks, I was forced to use a lighter shaderpack to save time taking screenshots; I tried to do some renders, but the texture pack I use is simply too large (thanks to meta and biome data) to make a full 3k render. Chances are I will experiment more with rendering, but at the moment it doesn't seem like much of a possibility.
