NOTICE:

The Refinement Update Part 2, Phase A [​KitsuneWorks 1.4] has just come out after quite a delay. It has fixed some important issues, as well as continued re-defining the design language. We have added some new bits and pieces in too, such as the Mobarium. Also, some more backing lore has been added, as well as more secrets.

We've also updated to Minecraft 1.14 and added WorldBorders!

This is not the entirety of the KW 1.4 update. Stay tuned for a follow-up update to finish it off. Report any and all bugs down in the comments or in DMs to the creator!

Our testers have also noticed that some people don't even attempt pressing the button for opening the piston door to the Research Center, so we decided to have it open by default when you get the map.

Hello there and welcome to KitsuneWorks, the autonomous, underground research complex located on a floating isle, connected to the outside world yet still secluded and guarded against it.

It's been over 10 months since the first release of the map became public. Work on this project began more than a year ago, and it wouldn't have turned into anything without the amazing support from my friends.

KitsuneWorks has come a long way since its V.1.0 release. We've started from Minecraft 1.11, slowly working our way up, bracing for the changes and adapting. Multiple areas have been built, some of which are now cornerstones of the entire complex. It's changed and took new forms and shapes, but the original design and philosophy have remained the same.

It all began as a single hole in the side of a floating island. At the time, it wasn't even planned for it to grow to this size - over 80 uniquely furnished rooms, chambers, halls and areas of all purposes. They range from farms to testing chambers, from blast furnaces to offices, from botanical gardens to aquariums... There's so much to explore, do, find, blow up, that it can keep you busy for hours.

The complex spans two main branches, each featuring vastly different ideas and concepts. The older one, the left branch, spans three levels, and connects the nether as well as the overworld with the lab, as well as hosting a wide variety of testing chambers. The right branch spans a huge portion of the isle, connecting the end with the lab, as well as containing some of the most impressive areas of the lab and most of the new chambers (hint: a lot of them).

The complex spans all three dimensions and features quite a few "keystones", such as the ring complex, the nether glass lab, the server rooms... We'll let you explore on your own without too many spoilers!

This is my first map on here, so please, any and all criticism is welcome! I'm always looking to improve!

In the V.1.4 update, we've tried to fix some really annoying issues that plagued the lab. We've limited the world to before the chunk regenerating starts (you can turn this off in-game with a conveniently placed button in the Server Room Alpha. We also added more content and polish, so get all grabby over it!

KW: Serenity will be getting its first major update in the following days. We will also try possibly merging the main map and the outpost map together, as well as reworking the final details of the interior of the main map, finishing this project once and for all.

The EndStar lab had an issue. When I entered the end, I wasn't able to open any chests, activate the lever to open the door, and there was a red tint around the edges of my field of vision in the game. Other than that, great job!

I'm sorry that i took so long to get back to you. The problem was actually my fault, I hadn't turned the barrier off in the Overworld. I haven't had any EndStar lab issues since I turned it off.

There was something else that was off, though. There were no charged creepers in the mob containment area, I had to spawn some in myself.

As far as I tested, it works in both updates! Nothing has been used thet’s new or specific to 1.13, except some improvements that make it playable in the aforementioned version (which shouldn’t affect 1.12 at all).

That's weird. It's crashing and saying "The game crashed whilst exception in server tick loop
Error: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: ChunkNibbleArrays should be 2048 bytes not: 0"
I'm not too good with that side of things, can you explain what might be going wrong?

That appears only in 1.12, right?
That error generally indicates a corrupted chunk, so you can try redownloading the map. I’ll certainly look into it, too!
Also try checking your JDK version. Should be at least 8. Older Java can actually cause errors at runtime.

It’s Continuum 1.3 made by the amazing guys over at Continuum Graphics. Here is the official site download page.
The screenshots were taken using the Ultra Preset. Also, do know that Continuum 2.0 came out, and IMHO, it’s better, but it’s different, so it might not be what you wanted exactly.

Additional little thing too, Continuum 2.0 is horrendously resource heavy. On my rig (8700K, 2080TI & 64GB DDR4), it’s cinematic settings (which are the highest available, and pretty non-effective at what they do, they aren’t that better than ultra, yet cut your framerates in half) make it struggle to keep a stable 60FPS, occasionally dipping to around 50FPS, so if you prioritize neater performance, I’d suggest sticking with Continuum 1.3.

On a decent machine, I reckon that both can work well with a little bit of tweaking. Hope I helped!

Hey!
Add more stuff in end, there isn't almost anything.
And the energy of kitsuneworks is from where? Add a central energy core (Without explosion! XD).
And you can add a lot of solar panels in the top of the island.

Oh! I almost forget! Try to add Scientists (Villagers) to the laboratory. I designed a villager texture pack specialy for the lab!!
