The Lao Class Salvage Ship is a vessel operated by the Asian Union designed to retrieve and store debris from wrecked or abandoned starships.

Designed with a large cargo hold to store ship components with enough value to keep intact. The smelter at the rear is capable of melting down lower value debris and sorting into materials into separate storage compartments. The Lao Class comes with two shuttles to survey debris field and a squadron of debris retrieval drones to collect targeted chunks of debris.The six plasma cannons mounted on the front of the ship can be used to break up larger chunks for retrieval and smelting The hyperdrive and engines have been upgraded to allow the Lao Class to beat other salvage vessels to the scene.

Crew quarters, the command bridge, plasma cannons and supply storage are located on the decks at the front of the cargo hold. These decks are connected to the material storage and engineering sectors at the rear of the ship by a corridor along the ceiling of the cargo hold. Access docks for the salvage material storage holds are located around the rear of the main hull.
