This is part of a 1:1 replica of London as part of TheLondonProject! We're looking for new builders so if you're interested, contact me here or on Discord at Jayy#5532
This build is personal to me, as you may know, I've built two fictitious IMAXes before, one based off of my local one. I've not been to the BFI but I plan to go there in July 2020 to see Christopher Nolan's TENET. As a resident of London I am passionate about the city, but I am also passionate about cinema.
The banner I have built around it is the Interstellar banner.
Please note the interior shots are taken with SEUS PTGI shaders on, inside a copy of the IMAX's interior in a separate world to customise with lapis and redstone lighting for PTGI screenshots. The standard version, which is in the main world, has pretty similar lighting setups but with standard glowstone / beacon etc lighting.
Thanks to TeamTraction, who has built areas around the roundabout at the viaduct.
The BFI London IMAX is the largest cinema screen in Europe. It measures 26m by 20m with a total screen size of 520m². However, if showing a film with an aspect ratio of 2.39:1, only 283m² of the screen will be in use, or 365m² for a 1.43:1 film. The auditorium seats 500 (498 Seats & 2 Wheelchair Spaces).
