Martian Excavation

After establishing the first human settlements on Mars, an expedition discovers the ruins of an ancient Martian pyramid buried in the sands of a remote crater.  An archaeological team is soon sent to uncover the secrets of the pyramid and surrounding structures. They quickly establish a base camp and begin excavating the site. The excavation reveals houses and on one side of the pyramid, a ritualistic plaza. What else remains to be discovered beneath the sands ... or within the pyramid?

This project is an in-progress archaeological excavation of an ancient Martian pyramid and the surrounding area. Uncovered structures include the pyramid, houses, and a plaza with seating. The human base features work tents, mess hall, bunks, green house, 2 rovers, comms tower, and a VTOL shuttle.
