1.9+ Piston Elevator

This is an elevator designed by me that uses the 1.9 mechanic of pistons pulling players in a vertical or horizontal fashion. How it works is, you stand in the designated space and press the button to the side. Then, you're either lifted up at approx. 30 blocks/second or pistons will retract at a safe pace for no fall damage to occur. However, I cannot guarantee that this will be SMP friendly, so I warn you now that it is not a good idea unless you're on single player and/or little to no lag exists.

Pros: Approx. 30 blocks/second upward
Fairly cheap to build (6x4 for one wide platform/5x6 for two wide platform)
No fall damage from descend

Cons: A small chance of the piston not bringing you up and causing you to become trapped
Fairly slow descend
