Actually, I have built a hardwired one before. It's not necessarily harder to make, but it takes alot longer, and it is way larger than this one. Mine is really spread out cause it  wans't meant to be compact. If i had planned out everything, this calculator could have been alot smaller, and have the exact same functions, and designs.
