Esta embarcação de pesca originária do Seixal foi durante séculos uma das embarcações tipicas mais famosas do rio tejo pelas suas inúmeras velas.
Esta embração desapareceu com o desmantelamento da ultima (igual á aqui representada) em 1903, no entanto a cidade do
Seixal está a pensar construir uma para passeios turisticos no Rio Tejo.
