Murakumo - The Bushido Mech
Hello all! Before anything else, it's time to celebrate almost 250 subscribers! I want to thank you guys for all the support in my projects, and I do hope I get to do much better in the future, starting with this one. I just noticed how many people are actually undertaking organics this week, which are quite a lot to be honest. As one of those ambitious members, I'd like to present a robot samurai. I may have rushed this in time for the Week in Review, so I might have missed out on some small details, and didn't include armour for the shin and feet. I may have included a new story arc for my organic builds, with dubstep/electronic jukebox music. Enjoy!
FUN FACT: The Yaskawa Bushido Project is a campaign designed to promote the company's endless possibilities of using industrial robots by showcasing a robot arm replicating Bushido swordfighting. Check out the video below for the demonstration!

Journal Entry of Matre Iseous Xavier
???? of the Evolved Age. (In human timeline: 2235 A.D.)
Earth was not the only habitable planet that reigned the Solar System. Mars settled for centuries as a possibility to sustain any form of life, especially humans. Two years ago, it was confirmed unknown entities roamed its surface, those larger than the tallest of skyscrapers back home.
The Federation were convinced they were threats to the small colonies that survived, and attempted to decimate their existence. Even with interstellar-ballistic missiles, they continued moving towards the colonies unscathed. By deforming the surface, cracks have appeared as entrances where more of the dark beings rose. Their colossal movements proved unstoppable to artillery and gunfire. It was not, however, proven sharp-edged blades may tear their flesh clean apart.
I lived in the vast metropolis previously known as Japan, and were aware of the controversy with evolving technology at the time. Several companies have protested against the nature of time travel and evolving robots with biological mind and body. Almost none had cared for the roaming creatures that threatened the habitability of Mars. Only one company had answered to this problem - the Dentō Works and Technology. Their history was branded by the reintegration of ancient Japanese traditions into technology. They answered to this threat with colossal weapons of their own - Bushido Mechs.
Strong and agile, massive structures and limbs formed menacing Samurai. I viewed their demonstration with much hope for humanity's future: they have been implanted with human-like consciousness to review threats and take action accordingly, equipped simply with Damascus-metal katanas and accoutred with the strongest skin and scales of armour. For advanced mobility, a rear thruster and two incombustible fuel tanks were positioned in place.
Very few of these mechs were suitable enough to wipe out the Mars invasion. From optimal locations, vessels carrying their bodies were launched into Mars and were expected to deploy in a few years' time. In the meantime, I was more interested in time travel anyway.
This is Matre Iseous Xavier, signing out.
