I've been working on this city for a loooong time now... Almost 10 years! I decided to eventually post an update because I have a feeling this project will almost never be "finished". I hope you'll enjoy exploring it even if some places are clearly still under construction.

This is quite a big update compared to the last version I uploaded here. Many new buildings and "neighbourhoods", a long ring road that runs around the city and some new train lines. Not all transport works, but I managed to come up with a "high" speed solution for some of the new lines that works quite well (at least on my computer). You can try it out from the old central station by taking the "high speed" line. I'm also building a system that tells you if a train station is active or not, so some places have that in place.
By taking the orange metro line from the airport (or from the "western station") you can pretty much see all the most recent builds and many under construction ones as well. The area called "little HK" is also quite recent and it is where most of the skyscrapers are.

Here I am with another update.
Many new buildings (the city is now biiiiiig!), including new areas and "neighbourhoods", a few train lines (which are always a lot of fun to build!).
I'm still trying to make it so that each area has a different feeling, almost like a different city. I'm also slowly updating the metro lines to the latest system - which is way faster than the old one. Although less fun and challenging to build, I have to admit. Basically line1 will stay with the old system - which means that is a very ineffective way to move around! - and the rest will get the new one. Now almost every track at the Central station has its line connected to it.

10/12/18 UPDATE!

I never really stopped building this map, but I didn't upload anything recently (well.. it's been 2 years!) Thank you to all the people who downloaded the old version of the map and played with it. There are many little secrets hidden here and there (Elytra for instance) and a few horses loose around the city if you'd like to move a bit faster. It is becoming quite big and it probably is a project that will never find its end... I would also love to build the interior of every building but it is quite unrealistic. For now there are just a few (around the station where you will arrive) that have the interior as well.

- Finished interior of 16 buildings of the area in front of the central station. Check the update log for the pictures.
- New area inside the airport.

- About 10 new buildings.
- The yellow (line 2) metro line is now working (hopefully...)! The line should be fully automatic. Just wait for your cart to arrive and hop on it! The simplest way to get to the metro from central station is to take the train from platform 1 to INDUSTRIA. Check on the display nearby to make sure you get on the right train! You will arrive to the Industria station that is one of the terminals of the metro line as well. Please let me know if everything works!

Hello!

I'm building a city and I would like to share the project with you all.
My building style is probably different from the massive cities that I see posted around here (some of them are really amazing!).
I'm building smaller and trying to adapt somehow to the terrain I construct on. I wanted a city that could look a bit messy, dirty and not too new. The buildings have many different styles and are inspired to Rome, Paris, New York, Venice, Barcelona and many other cities. I'm trying to make different areas with different styles.
At the moment the city has 4 metro lines, a train station, an airport, a commercial port and here and there there are ruins of old Roman style constructions (there is an arena and an aqueduct for now)
The interior of 99% of the buildings is still empty, and subway lines are partially functioning. I can upload more about the redstone "machine" that makes the automatic subway stations work if anybody is interested.
And yes, 100% Vanilla.
