Hide & Seek

Hi there! This is a simple command for minecarft 1.8 which allows you to quickly set up a Hide & Seek (otherwise known as Prop Hunt) game on any map. To Install:

  1. Get a commandblock by typing /give @p minecraft:command_block and place on the ground
  2. Copy and Paste the command from HERE into the commandblock by pressing the Cmd +V or Ctrl + V keys
  3. Power the commandblock with redstoneblock or button
  4. Right click the Sign saying "Click to Start" to start up the machine, and get 2 spawn eggsWith these two eggs you can place the team selectors. These selectors replace the block below with a stained clay block. When walked near/on, you will be placed on the coresponding team. Just break the clay to remove these. The goal of the game is to find all the hiders just like in Hide and Seek. Some features/info:
  1. Hiders can choose between 5 blocks using the book given them. The defult ones are Hay, Anvil, Crafting Table, Pumpkin, and Bookshelf. However, these can be customized by going to the command blocks labled "Block <#>" and changing the block id behind the "Block:" to desired choice.
  2. Due to the falling sand used, Hunters must kill the hiders by hitting above the suspected block with their sword
  3. Once killed, the hiders are put on the Hunters team
  4. You can remove the machine by Right-Clicking the sign entitled "Click to Remove." This will remove scoreboards, teams, and the commandblocks.
That's pretty much it. I have done previous one commandblock contraptions before, but this is the first one I have posted. Also, other people have done similiar commands. I assure you, this was 100% made by me. The filter to creat this command was made by gentlegiantJGC and xafonyz.

I have forgotten to add one command: to make the nametags dissapear, type to command:

/scoreboard teams options h nametagVisibility hideForOtherTeams

This will make the hiders' names invisible. Sorry about this mistake.

It doesn't seem to work for me. Every time I launch it it says unknown error. I think it might have something to do with the version but idk.

Yes Minemon28, this command no longer works in 1.9+ and is officially broken...Anyways, I may or may not work on a new one with better quality.

Hey man, I'm Fire_User. I got a question or a request. I really like this command, but I want to record something on my youtube channel. If you could make this the same, but except without blocks. I have a map and I just need a command that makes it if the hunter get's you, you just turn into the hunters team. No blocks. If you would like to make this, either just make it and post it and I'll give you credits in my video, or you can PM me and you can be in the video if you want.

This is a really great command, the only problem I have with it is the way the block doesnt fit itself onto a block you have to move around slightly to make the block look legit

However, I was thinking of updating this to 1.9 to both fix the nametags, and the "Uncentered" blocks.

But I will only get to that after I'm done with some other projects...
