Operation Neptune

Operation Neptune was a operation performed by the allies just before D-Day. It means dropping infantry troops behind enemy borders during the night. That is what inspired this map.


The allied forces will spawn in the airplanes high in the air and have to jump down, while the German forces spawn in their bunkers and have no clue where the enemies might be.


Next to this, the map is twice the size of Omaha Beach, and completely in the dark. Yes, this map will be played at night, just like the real operation.


The combination of darkness and random drops for the allied forces will create a great amount of stealth and will cause a lot of sneaking. The games in this map also take a long time, sometimes you even run out of time and the game will end in a draw.


"I love the aspects of the para drops and the sneaking around in this map. It is gigantic and you never know where the allied forces might be. Best for the German forces to dig in and hide," says a friend of Duncan while test-playing this map for the fourth time.
