Hello,
in this submission I'd like to present Palazzo Ducale. It's the principal seat of Doge, the head of the Repubblica, whose authority somehow equals the contemporary executive one. Of course, during the existence of the Republic there have been many Doges who either respected or violated the rules, trying to expand their influence.
The palace is one of the biggest buldings yn the whole state, built of white marble and located on the peninsula between the Popolo, Vecchio ( nobles and craftsmen from the long existing families) and San Matteo (middle class, on the other side of the river) districts.
The complex contains a large courtyard with a loggia and a large, representative garden, small private garden, stone brick chapel (which somehow recalls the french gothic structures) and one of the tallest towers in the area. The main buiding has some interiors, such as the throme room, bed chamber, small council chamber (in which You can observe the most recent map of the whole region) and a banquet hall, covered with a small dome.
The main inspiration for this building came from Palazzo Ducale at Urbino and White Tower of Ecthelion.
