Some hand-built whales. I originally hand-built some of these whales for a custom world used for a public survival server, but now these are free to use for any purpose. Worldpainter to scatter them randomly, Worldedit for specific placement in-game, or whatever else you may want them for. Whales will make your oceans feel lively and wild, and surprise players when they're found.

(For Worldpainter, the air in the schematics gets automatically replaced with water if they generate underwater, so no need to worry! Just make sure to not over-do them or else the ocean will be too full of whales)

I may eventually try to make more sea creatures like giant squids or large fish. But for now, there are 12 schematics here with 8 species of cetaceans for your Minecraft worlds.

1. Bowhead Whale (Balaena mysticetus)
This whale lives in the icy high Arctic, using its large head to break ice. They can live to be up to 200 years old, making them the oldest mammals in the world.
2. Blue Whale (Balaenoptera musculus)
Earth's largest animal, ever. A massive filter feeder that approaches the biological limits of how big an animal can get, growing up to 30 meters long. They also happen to not only be the largest but also the loudest animals.
3. Fin Whale (Balaenoptera physalus)
A relative of the Blue whale, the fin whale is also known as the "greyhound of the sea" for its fast speed, despite being one of the largest whales. It is the most common wild mammal by sheer biomass and one of the most common rorquals.
4. Baird's Beaked Whale (Berardius bairdii)
A medium-sized whale native to the northern Pacific, resembling a large dolphin. They have only two teeth in the lower jaw, which they use to fight each other.
5. North Pacific Right Whale (Eubalaena japonica)
One of the most endangered baleen whales, with only about 400 individuals remaining. Notable for the white callouses present on its face- it is unknown why these occur.
6. Humpback Whale (Megaptera novaeangliae)
An incredibly distinctive rorqual with large fins and a narrow yet bumpy snout. Found mostly worldwide, they have some of the most complex songs of all the whales.
7. Killer Whale (Orcinus orca)
The infamous, pack-hunting toothed whale. Much smaller than the others, these were a bit difficult to build on a small scale so they look a little goofy.
8. Sperm whale (Physeter macrocephalus)
The largest of the toothed whales. The source of spermaceti oil and ambergris, and made famous in Herman Melville's Moby Dick. I've included an albino version of the sperm whale too as an homage to the infamous white whale.
