Parroquia Santa Isabel: Argentine rural church

This church is based on the Parroquia Nuestra Señora del Carmen in the Argentine town of General Villegas. It was built upon the foundation of the town in the late 19th century, and its main purpose was to turn the local indigenous tribes into Christianity as the army pushed its borders into the desolate grasslands of central Argentina. For this purpose, the churches in this area had to be imposing to impress the locals but also cheap and easy to build due to the inaccessibility of the place. That's why the design is rationalist more centered on size and functionality than on decoration. A couple of auxiliary buildings have been added throughout the years, but the church stays in great condition to this day, and it's the still the tallest building in a radius of several hundred miles.
