Phosiorate-class fighter

The Phosiorate is a capable starfighter produced by the Roccho Republic. The Phosiorate was first conceptualized during final stages of the Taris Rebellion by the Rodain Empire. Shortly after the secession of the Roccho as their own nation, the designs came into the possession of the newly founded starship corporation Qi, which was based around the burgeoning facilities at Stykeer Station over Jefitik. Qi saw the potential benefits of the design, which was well equipped, and chose to push the strike craft through development. The project caught the attention of the Roccho Navy, which were mostly using the inexpensive Uetyph-class as their standard strike craft. The navy was deeply impressed by the combat capabilities of the Phosiorate, and funded the fighter under the condition it would not be marketed to other nations. The Phosiorate-class entered production in 949 ABS'r, at Stykeer Station.

The Phosiorate proved itself a formidable adversary during the Galactic Civil War - although the ship only had two main weapons, they were powerful and the ship was extremely maneuverable and well shielded. The Phosiorate also carried twenty missiles to deal with other fighters and light capital ships. The ship was produced in considerable bulk, replacing the Uetyph as the Roccho's primary strike craft. It would eventually be retired around two centuries later, when the Roccho's economic success allowed their navy to purchase Xexons from the Zelosian Empire.
