The Gondola lift provides convenient access to the outdoor pool while providing an excellent view of the beach. The tram station in the lobby can take you to the underground gymnasium and submarine dock or to the tranquility pool located in the hotel main building. Our restaurant and bar have breathtaking views of the island interior and sunset. Each hotel room is fully furnished with a king size bed, sofa, wardrobe, 80 inch widescreen TV, and a private bathroom with jacuzzi bathtub. The Executive Suites (rooms 107 and 207) also feature a private hot tub.
This project was created for the Planet Minecraft Island Resort Contest. The island itself is very beautiful so I have tried to leave it mostly untouched. The Resort buildings are built into the sides of the mountains to provide a view for the guests and leave the ground open. In order to add more features I excavated underneath the island to build the gym, sub dock and theater. I also added an area of the map for employee housing, offices and an "engineering" section for power and water utilities. The minecart system only has three stops, the lobby, the sub dock and the far end of the hotel. I designed it so that carts always return to the lobby no matter which way the switch is set. The biggest changes to the map this week were the new ferry, which was completely rebuilt from scratch. I also built a second ferry at the standard perpendicular angles and gave it a wake for added zing. I also added some more stuff underground and a bit of cleanup all over the map.
If I do any more updates to this project before the end of the contest it will be to add a video.
