Notes:Little_Reuben is an outstanding and creative Chinese terraformer. The Returning(归) is a fantastic terrain by Little_Reuben for the SDC Terraforming Art Creation Contest (2nd session) in 2020.It got the 1st in the Contest and is highly spoken of by many Chinese terraformers, which is one of the greatest terrains by Chinese. That summer, a sudden rainstorm came - so big, so big.
I was suddenly woken up in the middle of the night, pulled to a high hill. The clouds were so low, the wind was terrifying, and the raindrops were madly falling. The waves were ten-meter high, and the row of fishing boats disappeared in the blink of an eye. The sky has finally cleared. The once town is now a glistening sea; the sunlight quietly shines on the cliff, as if nothing had ever happened; the wind brings a hint of warmth, stirring up a ripple.
From that day on, a new line of text appeared on their calendar - "July 20th, Return Day".
On this night every year, people losing their loved ones come to the edge of the cliff and place a lantern into the sea. They firmly that the unfortunate souls will transform into a light on this night, following the tide from the other side as indicated by the lantern, and before the break dawn of the morning, they will take one last look back and disappear into the mist.

Floating giant lotus flowers;
Misty hot springs on the sea;
Scattered red and white Spider Lilies;
And countless glows of life…
The people who were once apart finally reunited, and this moment will forever be frozen in time.

The inspiration for this terrain comes from the lotus lanterns of the "Summer and Winter" by Qiu_Wendy(南风), two animated films, and an oriental traditional festival (Obon). I was working on this terrain from April 4th to August 17th. I hope to use the ocean as a carrier in this work, pushing the use of light sources in Minecraft to the extreme, creating a beautiful and fantastic terrain that combines fantasy and reality, and expressing some emotions and spirits in the terrain, shaping the world and scenery that I long for.
This will also be my last terrain work, I hope everyone will enjoy and appreciate it.
