This project is a starship development facility/ train station. it is composed of many parts including the station itself and the various space capable trains stored there.

Backstory/Lore

In the barren fields of Mars lies a lone train station. It is meant to be an extremely secret facility where the most advanced and cutting edge of trains are developed and stored. But it has been dubbed as “The worst kept secret in existence” by the many millions who know of its existence. This facility is owned by the illustrious Grand Line well known throughout the galaxy for their reliable and luxurious train starship hybrids. The Grand Line is also a rife source of controversy among many for their alleged involved in countless conspiracies and their supposed many incidents of selling out. The person in charge of this facility is Commander Proctor. She is known for her love of rainbows, extreme aggression towards any enemy and being lovably cute.

Design notes

This facility was inspired by the ideas brought forth in the TV show Ressha Sentai ToQger most notably the Galaxy Line. It was also inspired by the fleet yards in Star Trek.

     Train 1: Joukimomax

This is the first train stored in the facility located in the bottom left.

Backstory/Lore

Many criticize this train for being archaic with it having steampunk technology incorporated into the futuristic technology present. They wouldn’t be wrong since this train predates even the Rexington facility itself. This train is also significantly more traditional than its counterparts as it has luxurious cabins designed for traditional train transportation. It also unlike its counterparts has no specialization and is designed to be extremely well balanced, all-purpose and an all-rounder in terms of performance. Despite what people say the Joukimomax has proven to be reliable for its entire existence putting in more work than most other trains would. As such it has been constantly retrofitted for it to be ready in the modern day galaxy.

Design notes

This train had the most planning involved with a detailed prototype being made. As such it was easier to build than the others. The intention for the design was a bulky, futuristic version of the traditional steam train. As such steam trains and the red ressha from ToQger were used as guides during design. The word Jouki in Joukimomax is the Japanese word for steam. Joukimomax was ultimately chosen instead of SteamMax because it sounded better.

     Train 2: Hidden Joker

This is the second train stored in the facility located in the bottom right.

Backstory/Lore

This train was designed to be one thing. Hidden. Because of this it lacks the size, strength and durability of it counterparts. It makes up for this with: unrivalled cloaking technology, state of the art radar dishes for surveillance and detection, a flexible and extendable wheel system for evasive action and speed. Because of these features this train is commonly used for espionage and transporting important individuals.

Design notes

This train had minimal planning involved with only a rough but good looking prototype resulting in relatively easy development. As such its design was inspired the Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird, Skystalker from Transformers and the blue ressha from ToQger. The intention for the design for an elegant streamlined train. The word Joker was chosen for the name because it fit the character of this ship as it taunts its existential status being hidden so often.

     Train 3: Peerless Solshogun

This is the third train stored in the facility located in the top right.

Backstory/Lore

This train has been hit with endless criticism for the hull strength being somewhere in-between paper thin and 0.1% chance you will survive. It makes up for this with its specialization. Attack. This train is equipped with an array of phase cannons that make up for its hull strength for ensuring the swift defeat of the enemy before they can react. This train is also equipped with solar lances next to every wheel capable of deploying a blade of energy that can slice through even the largest of ships within seconds. This is supplemented by a questionable acceleration system allowing for temporary speed acceleration. It is questionable because this system has been proven to be extremely volatile in many other ships. Due to its nature this train also only supports an all military crew.

Design notes

This train was designed to look unique and drastically different from any other train. The design was inspired by the S.S Naked Sol from Kill la Kill. To make this train unique there was the idea to have the ship sectioned into two parts. These parts would project off the side of a cylinder with one part lying flat while the other was elevated. The final build did have this shape but the cylinder had to be scrapped and the elevated section was reduced to being solely a cannon array. This elevated section also had its elevation lowered due to size constraints. Because of the unique shape this train suffered somewhat from looking strange. This strangeness affected build development causing the process to become annoying and long as the train always looked weird causing constant redesigns. While a build was settled upon and improvements were made I can’t help but feel that the design looks somewhat strange. The somewhat Egyptian look and the eagle with deer antler design of the head inadvertently occurred during building from following the prototype. This did not look too bad and I decided to run with it and make it more obvious. The name Peerless SolShogun was inspired by the name of the S.S Naked Sol. But this train’s name unlike its counterparts was chosen more because it sounded cool and intimidating rather than it being a character description for the train.

     Train 4: SirenStreamer

This is the fourth train stored in the facility located in the top left.

Backstory/Lore

This train has become known by many as the shining star of hope. This is because the SirenStreamer is support train designed to carry other trains through hard situations and save/rescue as many people as possible in any situation. as such this train is equipped with: hull repair lasers, an extremely large medical bay and construction drones capable of quickly creating strong defences including turrets and shield arrays. Because of these features this train is commonly used for frontline support, evacuations and rescue missions.

Design notes

This train only reliance on inspiration was on the Pokémon Aerodactyl for the front portion of the train. The rest of the train was built successfully according to the prototype with minimal changes. I noticed during building that the top portion of the train looks similar to a skeletal structure and decided to build upon it because it looked good. The Siren part of the name SirenStreamer was chosen as it is a staple part of emergency vehicles. The word Streamer was chosen because I needed a complimentary word and streamer sounded good.

     Train 5: Terrasault Raider

This is the fifth train stored in the facility located in the third row from the bottom.

Backstory/Lore

This train is the most controversial of all its counterparts. It seemingly proves all of anyone’s doubts about the Grand Line. This train was private commissioned and funded by the famous (or infamous depending how you look) League of Loot Snipers. They are a band of deadly explorers who have amassed an impressive collection of treasure from treasure hunting. This team also has impressively defeated large armies despite them being overwhelmingly outnumbered. The doubt and controversy comes in as the Loot Snipers have little regard for how the consequences of their actions tend to negatively impact those living in the galactic community. When such events occur these people instantly recognise one symbol. The Grand Line insignia. The Grand Line has been criticized for supporting what they do through the development of this train. But the Grand Line did ultimately agree to build this train under the agreement that they could use it in emergency situations.


Because of the private nature of the train it has been built specifically to support only the loot snipers. As such it has crew quarters for each member and living space including a living room and kitchen. This train also has technology specifically for storing loot. It has a pipe system that transports loot to the storage bay and environment dependent organisms and items to the biospheres, a series of probes for extraction of loot and a deployable net that can capture large organisms or stun other ships. There is also an observation room/astrometrics room/analysis lab used for finding and analysing treasure.

Design notes

This train was originally intended to look like a monorail train. This was scrapped after the incorporation of the pipe system. Afterwards I saw that the train was starting to look like an armadillo. I went with this design and expanded the underlying area to occupy the full area under the pipes. This was eventually useful providing the area for crew quarters and a large living area.

   Train 6: Proteus Class Carrier

This is the sixth train stored in the facility located in the fourth row from the bottom.

Backstory/Lore

Originally this train was a prototype for what would be a class of starships. But the line was ultimately scrapped and the prototype was stored away because the design was flawed, unsustainable and constant argument over its strangeness. Years late the Loot Snipers happened to have found this ship on the black market and the Grand Line soon caught wind. Commander Proctor liked it strangeness and brought it close to immediately. Some have questioned this decision not only because of the dysfunctional design but also the strange asking price. Despite opposition however the Commander worked with the strangeness rather than against it and revamped the ship into the new Proteus Class Carrier. The new Proteus Class Carrier is designed to be big, beautiful and intimidating. As a carrier this train has a hangar equipped with construction bays that can quickly build small but powerful attack drones that can swarm the enemy.

Design notes

The whole concept of this ship was inspired by the Protoss Carriers from Starcraft. The design for the ship was originally going to be somewhat like the Protoss Carriers but more thin and streamlined. The final design was inspired by the Wells Temporal Vessel from Star Trek. The final design also differed significantly from the prototype as the long nacelle projects of the ship were originally much shorter and resembled the antenna of insects. The final design also incorporated multi coloured plating inspired by stained glass windows. The name Proteus was inspired by the word Protoss from Starcraft.

     Train 7: Rexington Station

This is train is the seventh train and is also the station itself.

Backstory/Lore

While many people know of the stations existence, very few know a certain fact about it. The T Rex head is not just for show. The station has three different modes. The first mode is this station form and the one that everyone knows. The second mode is the train form. To enter this mode, the whole station situates itself until it becomes the long train like shape. This mode is designed for transportation and used whenever the station needs to get anywhere. The final mode is the most least known of the three being known to only Commander Proctor, The Grand Line President, his associates and the three crazy guys that built it. And that is because those that see it tend to not live long. Because of how few people know of its existence many people in the galactic community including those of the Grand Line consider it a fake rumour if they hear about it.


The third mode is the T Rex mode officially named the Commandersaurus Rex or as Commander Proctor more affectionately prefers “Rexie”. This mode is built for destruction. To enter this mode, the whole station heavily compresses and moves around until it forms a T Rex shape. In this mode the T Rex head becomes fully active. This mode has an extremely fast ground speed matching most other trains on the ground. It is also hyper aggressive like the Commander equipped with: an electrospike tail that can overload most electronics in existence, claws that can dig through the thickest of plating and rip apart structures and starship and a sharp set of teeth that can completely crush starships in a single bite. But the most powerful of its weapon is the cannon mounted on the station in all modes. This cannon is: mostly redundant in station mode, usable in train mode but most useful in T Rex mode as it is complemented by the aggression power boost. This cannon is officially known as the Rainbow Boost Vulcan but aggressively known by the Commander as the “TASTE THE RAINBOW CANNON!!!!”. This cannon channels the stored power of all station stored trains into it and temporarily overloads it. It is then outputted as a single blast. This blast has the strength to do everything from tear through a fleet of ships to decimating cities.


The station also has other feature and equipment. On each train dock are a pair of mounted Proton lasers. On the back of each train dock are a pair of cosmic boosters used the most in train mode for movement. In the centre of the front side of the train is a banner. The eyeball looking thing on it is the mascot/symbol for Rexington Station who the Commander calls “Rex Jr.”

Design notes

This is the only train that I made with absolutely no planning. Because of this the other modes weren’t even thought of until a significant amount of the station was built. On the final design only the station mode is available since the transformation would not be practically possible in vanilla Minecraft. And even if it was possible to do something with command blocks it would take too much time to build all three modes. Because of these reasons the final build was optimized to be a station with some but minimal consideration for the other modes. the individual train docks were built first with aspects of the other modes and the rest of the station being built upon them. The concept of the station was inspired by the Hyper Ressha from ToQger and Trypticon from Transformers. The design of the Commandersaurus Rex was heavily inspired by the V Rex from Mirai Sentai Timeranger. The design of Rex Jr was inspired by the Eyecons from Kamen Rider Ghost.
