Hello everyone!
I hereby present to you a project I have been working on over the last few years, which in my opinion, really is something very interesting and which hasnt been recreated before.
This build represents Hull No. 400 and 401 during their earliest design Phase. This Concept is simply known as Design D', and originally laid out what would become the Olympic and Titanic .
The majority of people assume that the original Design for these vessels was going to be a 3 funneled ship.. but this is not the case. The ships went through a lot of design phases with their basic silouhette staying the same.
Notice: there are no existing illustraions of all spaces. The rooms are all laid out to scale and according to deckplans, yet all design choices come from the Builders model, older white star line ships or of course from the Olympic class.

About Design D'
These plans closely represent the drawings that were inspected by White Star personnel in their meeting with Harland & Wolff representatives on 29 July 1908. Named Design D', it was a close approximation of the two ships' final appearance. However, the 1908 plan differed from the final designs of the ships in some crucial areas. For example, the absence of an aft mast, the sixteen lifeboats shown in this plan are all placed aft on the Boat Deck, whereas the final design had the boats in the fore and aft corners of the deck on both sides of the ship. As depicted here, the First Class Smoking Room had a dome behind the fourth funnel, and the lounge had one as well. The main staircases in First Class were not nearly as "grand' as they were in finished reality; on the otherhand, the finished lifts did not run all the way up to the Boat Deck, meaning that passengers had to climb the stairs to arrive on that level. In the end, the Gymnasium was brought up to the Boat Deck and placed abaft the Entrance, on the starboard side of the No. 2 funnel casing, giving it no end of natural light.
Each of these changes, though small in themselves, showed the refinements being made to the liners' design as the project was moving forward.

I also want to say that this may very well be my last project in Minecraft. Live is moving on for everyone and finding the free time to finish this project was not an easy task.. altough I enjoiyed every last bit of it! I just want to say thank you to everyone who supported me on this crazy journey. I made friendships along the way which i will never forget and some are still active to this day. The journey started back in 2012/13 when i built my very first Ship. My dream always has been building the Titanic in minecraft inside and out, and i feel i have finally done that.. maybe not the way everyone would expect but certainly something extraordinary... coming full circle i guess ;).
I will stay active on this website, just dont expect any bigger projects of me. THANK YOU!
