Newest Update:

It's update 2.3 and we no longer need to fly or to rock climb in order to get to the village. While an elevator is not currently available, feel free to walk or ride up through the village barn cut into the cliff face. On the way, one might notice that we have some Etch hutches, and a much more solid field features that will prevent land slides in the future. The barn houses many stalls and barn areas that the people of the village rent so they wouldn't need to have their own farms to raise food for the winter. The Top area has some specialty bred horses for Emergancy response like fires. There are a couple bathrooms, plus an emergency sleeping area in case response teams would need to add a sleeping schedual while fighting fires or whatever needs handling.

Up top we have our Field set aside for animals to be butchered by resturaunts or families. Around the courner there is the Outside Market that locals rent to sell their wares beside a secured locker for each stall. There is three more stores, all set up, yet the multi-layered house below the white shops is still in construction. Then there is the Red Resturant with an Open Air Level on top, next to the Local Open Club for the neighborhood kids to play in. There are smaller buildings including the Old Man's Hut, the Samuria's house, and the brick house, but tucked away is the Birch House and the Officers' Hutch. The last two buildings are built for guards to stay while they are on duty away from their homes, or their numbers are overflowing the Junk House.

Inspired by the Sword Maker's unique roof, and the nearby Samurai's House, the family of the Tall House made arrangements with their neighbors so they can have their own tall roof. These kind people also converted what would be a stone yard, into the Open Air Club house, which they watch the neighborhood kids play afterschool.

The last big change is the Apartment House. With four different families living in it. One family lives on the top floor, the second has the deck that hides their entrance, and the two smaller houses actually rent the basement dwellings below for their older children. Three of the families also have their own guarden, Hope you like lots of exploring because the building codes of the day didn't mind overlapping roofs, especially with common snowfalls.

About this Map:

I had to move this project from another forum. This is the brain child of a long time adoration for a history of Rouge Castles. Particularly the one mentioned in Samurai's Lament. I hadn't had much luck finding an English website with it. I had translated some Japanese sites using an internet translator many years ago. If you can find it in english I'd love a link.

What I do know, that this document that I read was historically recorded of the conversation between three samurai close to the time before Japan reopened its boarders. When the younger brother voiced concerns over the state of the Samurai the older brother told him about a particular castle. One of the origins of Japanese Agriculture, the Red Room, the Red Banner, the most clean and secure historical dungeon I heard about, and the peculiar history and mythology that fell through the cracks.

This map is 100% guaranteed not to represent anything like the original keep. I, to this day, had been unable to find anything other than some descriptions through many old tales and texts. Tales including ‘The 1000 mile Journey to the West’. Where Monkey and company stopped at an 'Evil' Castle. The castle, at the end of the tale, was deemed evil because it looked very nice, and was so interesting that it distracted the monks from converting the owners to Buddism. It was also mentioned to be the place where a young Thunder God named Thor was captured in his teens, served for a few years, before he was granted permission to leave. Not an official part of the most widely known Norse legends, but an Interesting one. Remember, in Mythology there is the more popular legends, and there are the niche' stories. A lot like the Fan Fiction vs. Cannon culture we have today.

While it may not look like the original I tried/trying to stay true to the descriptions of the features of the caste. Mostly the constant need to remove snow. The main buildings, and the bridges and styles of the buildings they lived in. Like the underground dungeon, Circular paddock. The Building Built into the Mountain cave and stretched all the way to the top. Probably one of the earlier historical Penthouse suites I personally read about. Right now, not much is furnished. Then there is the Office of Ill Dispute and many more features to come. I honestly don't know at this point when it is the best place to stop.
