This is a Renaissance Revival Skyscraper based on the Candler Building in New York City.
Completed in 1914, the Candler Building is on 42nd St. between 7th and 8th Ave.

There is a restaurant on the second highest floor, and the upper floor has a nightclub.
The rest of the floors are office space. The wings are unfurnished.

This building features a working zipper elevator with up and down travel. The elevator pauses at each floor that you can get off at. I would have loved to include floor selection, but that would have taken up half of the building interior.

This building is "mob safe." All tiles are lit to light level 8 or higher to prevent monster spawning inside.

You may use this building in your worlds. Credit is always nice, of course.

The church beside it is also beautiful, and it's unusual to see an octagon tower for once :)

What do you mean by lag? Your framerate drops? I had some problems with the elevator on slow SMP servers, but I've never had any issues in single player.

Does this only happen when the elevator is in motion, or does it happen even when none of the pistons are working?

Even with none of the pistons working, it might just be my computer is not powerful enough (6GB DDR3 RAM, Intel i5 @3.3Ghz, Nvidia GeForce GTX 560)

It's not your hardware. You have a better rig than I do. Are you running the 64-bit version of Java? I used to have issues with the 32 bit version.
