Approximately 4500 years ago, the lands were fragmented, each ruled by their own Kings and Queens. But as King Morgan of Ridgeford began to expand his power, he set sights on the highlands of Stourgate. Within three months, the Stourgate Bloom had been constructed - a central fortress offering a key vantage point overlooking four rival kingdoms. Though a relatively small structure, and one manned by less than 80 troops at any time, the tactical use of terrain ensured enemies were unable to advance in any meaningful manner.

Try as they might, the four could not compromise the fortress, exhausting their resources and later falling victim to Morgan's forces. Although King Morgan never succeeded in complete unification of the lands, the Bloom represents the tactical prowess required to expand and gain influence across the realm at that time.
