'The Arkletteo
Can you survive?! Can you thrive?!
Version 0.90 5 September 2013
By edthedoc
Stranded on a small boat in the middle of an endless ocean you must learn to survive with only the minimum of supplies and equipment.
You have only a few supplies to keep you alive during your first few days. But with a little time, effort and ingenuity youo ll be able to develop a thriving community full of almost everything you could want in Minecraft.
Instructions:
You will spawn either on the boat or at the bottom of the ocean (if you do, swim immediately for the surface without pause and you should get there before you drown*).
Learn to live and expand using the limited supplies found on the boat. Grow what you can, as carefully as you can as much of what you find is irreplaceable. Make a village and trade with the villagers. Fight mobs to collect items. Swim to the bottom of the sea to mine for blocks. It is amazing what youo ll be able to do with so little.
Items
You start with the following:
A small boat built of wood
A chest containing:
1 cocoa bean, pumpkin seed, melon seed, carrot, potato, sugar cane, cactus
1 oak, spruce, birch jungle tree
6 grass blocks
1 bucket of lava
2 cow, chicken, pig, sheep and villager eggs
Two apples, four cooked fish, 5 bread
Three cats
Hints
There is no land, anywhere.
There is a bottom to the sea: it is worth visiting!
You only have one seed and one sapling for each plant and two spawn eggs for each type of animal. Take care: they cannot be replaced once lost.
Dono t lose the bucket of lava: it can provide you with an endless supply of cobblestone.
You start with very limited supplies of food: aim to be able to produce one type as soon as you can (e.g. apples, fish, carrots).
Use mobs for essential items: such as string and bone: learn how to breed them in order to provide a plentiful supply.
Villagers can provide you with a lot of items: even diamond armour, weapons and tools. Youo ll need to build a village to encourage them to increase their numbers, and once you learn how to do this youo ll be one step away from having an infinite supply of iron too.

*this is a problem with Minecraft not allowing you to spawn on a single block.
