Dunwall. The gritty but pretty city from Dishonored.

I have been working on this project since mid-January, Dunwall Tower is about a week old, and I shall share what I have so far.

Dunwall Tower:

Estate District:

The World (Terraformed by a friend)

My own world is slightly different, and is missing the larger islands.

I'll post regular updates as I go along. First I'll build all of Dunwall Tower, and move from there.

I hope you enjoy the project! It'd really help if you gave the post a Diamond.

Additional Notes

I will probably give the completed map to an adventure server,or as a general download.

Very interested, I plan on watching this closely. . . I expect great things after seeing some of your progress, though alot of your buildings seem to go together too regularly.
The MCF thread has more updates.
As for the building style, you'll find that that is the defining point of Victorian architecture. Leave irregularity to the dirty, pre-1700s peasants.

I did actually look at the MCF thread, I just think that the regularity of the building placement detracts from the overwhelming press of humanity for the most part. It makes it feel less urban.
Keep in mind the project isn't exactly finished -_-

Oh I know, I was just pointing out the only issue I had. I am impressed by your ambition to take on such a project and I rather like the standardized house design you've made.

an amazing build for an amazing game, verry nice!
Thank you :)
Best of luck, it looks really great right now.
I suggest you change the biome from plains to marsh though. Looks more dreary and fits much better.
You see almost no terrain in game. And nearly all of the land will be covered in city, and what is not will be farmland.
Funny, I was checking this out on Minecraft Forums yesterday... Glad I found it here as well :D
MCF is where all the updates are :)
Sweet! Would love to join in sometime.

I'm loads more active on the Minecraft Forums, because PMC can't process the awesomeness of my pics. If you go to the MCF>Screenshots>The Dunwall Project you can find more of my stuff on Dunwall

Would it be possible to simply use a copy of the terraformed world as a terrain map?
I shall try later today or tomorrow
Oh, yes, it can be used, however it only has space for Dunwall, Whitecliff, and a few villages, it isn't all of Gristol
How do you mean? I have the world working, BTW

Well like I said above, I'm probably going to be hosting a Dishonored RP server, and it would be nice to have a terrain map to start from. I'm asking if I could use that one, just the terrain, nothing else.
Ya, I guess so
