This is the one and only Lucky 38, the mysterious New Vegas casino belonging to the elusive Mr. House. The bright lights of The New Vegas Strip shine out over the Mojave wasteland, relics of the Old World, unique in their opulence and decadence. Nobody goes in, nobody goes out. Until now...
I began work on this bloody ages ago as a kind of weekend project. I lost momentum after a while, and it kind of fell to the wayside, but I recently picked it back up again and have finally finished it with the help of a few friends. I tried to be as true to the game as possible, but Obsidian did this hilarious thing where the inside of the casino is completely incongruous with the outside. I almost didn't have room for the Presidential Suite, the most visited room in the in-game casino, and I ended up having to make up some rooms to fill in the negative space left by the other rooms. The completely original rooms are the hotel suites and the "Six Aces" restaurant. Also, because of the weird spacing, in trying to reconcile the inside and outside, the end look is slightly cartoony - but I kind of like it!
I recruited some friends to fill up the hotel rooms, and we had the most fun doing them.
Additional Notes
Feel free to download the map and explore! I put a lot of effort into trying to recreate as much as I could, and I think it would be pretty fun for someone who knows the game to explore. The hotel suites are also really fun! Some of them are absolutely hilarious.
In addition, if you want to use my build as part of your map for whatever reason, you go right ahead! All I ask is that you give the appropriate credit, and a link to this page.
