With the discovery of the New Lands in the Western oceans, elite businessmen wanted to cement ownership of any natural resources before their competitors did. Eager to portray themselves as youthful adventurers (to win the adoration and admiration of the commoners), many of them sought to travel to the New Lands. The Type II which was fine for their geologists, botanists, and other scientists did not carry the luxurious appointments they were accustomed to. Turning their considerable money to solve this problem, the airship companies promoted two differing craft. The Type III was the first to leave the shipyards, and it was plagued with dangerous flaws that led to the deaths of nearly a dozen industry leaders.
The Type IV was created to rectify those design flaws. The engineers succeeded with one of the largest non-military craft ever conceived. The Type IV has six staterooms with private storage for several guests. The galley was amply supplied, and there was storage throughout the vessel to bring home the trophies of the New Lands. This was also the first vessel to include airlocks so that the wealthy could meet without the inconvenience of landing in a secure location.
The crowing achievement of the Type IV was the inclusion of two Service Pods. These were little more than deployable cabins that could be dropped off so that the airship could operate independently--whether to be rid of unwanted guests, or to go on safari without the airship scaring off the local game. The rear deck has a landing pad for small aircraft--larger craft require airlock access. The crew had less-than-ideal quarters mid-ship against the hull, exposed to the sounds of the engines vibrating close by.
The Type II will be uploaded sometime later this week, just trying to use this to help keep my head clear with upcoming meetings at work. The Type II is built, and in fact was the inspiration for this version. But it is still less complete than this craft. Personally I think this looks best with Misa's pack, but I'm sure others would do just fine. Still to be done: Engines, the blimp, several interior structures 'beauty work' on the outside.

Engine pods added, rough fan added. Did some exterior detail work. Cleaned up the crew quarters. Put in underside locations for the 'landing legs'. Still need to get some fuel cells added, but that'll be its own mess.
