I have built two towers on wich I put a nether portal on each one, one is pretty far away from my house, and one is pretty close. If I go through the portal that's far away, I can come back to my house really easy and fast.
Explanation: Nether portals always teleports You back to the first one built in the normal world.
I ''discovered'' this when was experimenting with portals and redstone.
