Hello,

this is a map that features a modern truck, some ancient buildings and a world on pillars.

Originally, I just wanted to depict a convincing penetration of some big object by a quickly moving projectile shot by a railgun on a truck.
Then, I thought it would look better if the truck held an elevated position, so I tried building a coastline with the truck standing atop the shore and the octahedron flying over from the sea.
But I couldn't make the coastline look very natural, so I put metal pillars beneath the ground the truck stood upon to keep it elevated.
Then, I thought it would look cooler if the octahedron was some kind of core floating over a hole in the elevated ground with smaller pyramids around it holding the core up in the air.
I based the smaller pyramids on old Maya temples because I thought it would look more interesting if the ground-touching structures looked like they were made by humans in an attempt to please some kind of highly advanced alien race who eventually accepted the humans' efforts and placed their sleek octahedral core at the temple's center.
Thousands of years later, mankind is tired of being overshadowed by a flying octahedron which is more and more seen as a sign of oppression.
At some point, some guy thought it would be a good idea to pull up in a modified mobile crane truck carrying a railgun instead of a crane and shoot the damn thing out of the sky.
The success of this mission remains to be seen...

The octahedron is based on Ramiel from Neon Genesis Evangelion.
Inside the octahedron there are two command blocks that can be controlled by levers. One of them is connected to a clock that lets it play a single F note every few seconds. This was inspired by Ramiel's "theme" in Neon Genesis Evangelion.
The other command block creates a deep hum similar to Confederate ships from Star Wars. Since I really liked that hum and thought it added a lot to the atmosphere I left it enabled.
You can enter the octahedron from the top by removing the top most slab and a stair.

Two of the warped wood buttons on the truck play an explosion sound because I felt the need to be able to at least acoustically fire the cannon.
