Yeah, nice castle. Its easy and simply. I think its better than all castles by gazamo, mithrintia or other huge build teams (exept from Team Teweran, they are the best ;D), because those build teams use too much steps and too much detail, theire walls are very unrealistic, their towers are copy and pasted and the castles are not adapted to the terrain. I think they exaggerate immoderate.Because of that your castle is much better, simply because its simple, but i miss some things: there´s no chapel, fountain, palas, no kennel facilities, which are very important for the defence of the castle, no shed and no castle courtyard. Its pity that this parts are missing :=(. There are also some fails I noticed in the defense: the wall at the back site ist sometimes only 3- 4 blocks high, thats the weakest part of your castle, and there is a mountain behind the keep, enemies can easily come up, and that would be the end of the castle. A thick and high shield wall would be very important there. I orient myself to real castles like marksburg, castle pfalzgrafenstein, harlech castle, carcassone, castle javier, castle hohkönigsburg, castle lichtenstein etc... I especially like Castle Eltz which ive visited in my last holidaysbecause its many bay windows, tall buildings and its very entangled, thats the reason why im buildng this wonderful castle at the moment.

Ack! No well! What good are the strongest walls if the defenders all die of dehydration two days into a siege? You need a source of water, usually in one of the best defended places in the fort! ;-)

Nonetheless, very nice fort and excellent tips for newbies and experienced builders alike. I particularly liked the sketch-the-terrain trick (although I think I'd prefer to print a screengrab and work off of that, having scratched up my monitor enough through just day-to-day usage). Not to mention I like to "cheat" on the terrain-building part using a tool like MCEdit (which, by the way, is also great for making circles).
