The sims class destroyers were built from 1937 to 1940, and launched after 1939. They served in both the pacfic and the atlantic theatres, where five were sunk in total. They were found top-heavy as designed and then modified to remove one of the main guns.


They were all out of service by 1946, and of the 7 that survived, 4 were used in nuclear tests while the other 3 were scrapped.
