This is a recreation of the Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past
(Started 19 July 2011)
After completing a quarterof the world, I did some research. Only to find that IT WAS ALREADY DONE twice before!
1st creation (#First): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W2TOPFVcUMg
2nd Creation: http://www.planetminecraft.com/project/legend-of-zelda-a-block-to-the-past/
So now I have continued making my version of it. Trees are variant to keep then"natural" Minecraft feel to the world. Buildings and terrain have been extended or stretched, or may not even line up completely, to accommodate the differences between the Minecraft "GRID" versus the art of Zelda. But I still want to keep the main layout and feel of the Hyrule world intact.
I have a very particular building style and I like to pay close attention so I hope that I can give this world justice enough to be considered, at least, a good build. It is definitely an ambitious project so please show your support.
It was released on 1 Sept 2011 whether it was completed or not. I did this so that people could be the first in history to download and play a Minecraft version of Zelda - Link to the Past. Do note that most of it is not completed. Altho most minor caves have been added and houses have been decorated; buildings, dungeons, and other secrets have not yet been developed. You are free to do whatever you want with it, so long as proper credit is given. But I will continue building to make this map live up to Link to the Past one of the most EPIC games of Super NES history! I plan on creating the entire world of Hyrule. I would like to have dungeons work but I would rather out source that job since I wouldn't consider that my expertise.
I have decided to build the dark world in a separate download. It will be done in the nether so the feel of it will hold true to the actual game. I was waiting for a flat Nether map to come out to build it but I had to build it myself...
Here is the Dark World project should you want to see it:

If you load it onto a server, invite me, I would love to come join you.
Thx :D
The height map shows color differences which denotes how high or low a level needs to be to make up for the hills near kakariko village up to the forest.
Please note: I am a "one man" show. EVERYTHING that has been made in this world has been done by my hand alone..
Lastly, remember that your comments and diamonds give me the strength to continue making this project. Please show your support

Update #16 : by Agt_Montag 07/26/2014 7:33:19 pmJul 26th, 2014
Fun news! I started on the building of the castle interior! The door of the castle will warp you to a larger and more detailed interior - Hopefully, with extra time, I'll be able to make a play through, at least the very begining. Cant wait for 1.8 commands, world boarder, and add-ons. I think the update will greatly improve what can be done on a map like this.
