Elseland is a survival RPG server set in a fantasy world millennia after a great disaster forced mortals underground. If you’re bold enough to return to the surface, you’ll find a world full of incredible monsters and world bosses that are unique to Elseland and unlike anything you’ve ever encountered in Minecraft before. You can choose a specialized class, level up, and become a master. You can build a home, a fortress, or an entire city if you’re ambitious enough. You can support yourself by mining and farming, but if you’re in the mood for something a little more challenging, you can earn a living by questing, killing bosses, and running dungeons.
There’s never a dull moment in Elseland. Monsters will always be stalking you, and before long you’ll find yourself wearing armor and carrying weapons no matter where you are. Monsters are affected by the phases of the moon and every day of the week brings a different level of threat. Moonlight brings a brief respite, but as the nights grow darker the monsters' appetite for human flesh becomes insatiable. On Nightmare Night – when the moon is new and the nights are darkest – only the boldest players dare leave the safety of their homes. But take heart, when you die in Elseland you’ll be resurrected at the nearest graveyard with all your belongings still intact. You’ll lose some of your lifeforce – the power used to enchant items and cast spells – but you can quickly earn this back, and all your gear stays with you.
Elseland is about player vs. environment, not player vs. player. You can mutually agree to PVP, but griefing, stealing, and treating other players with disrespect is not tolerated. Elseland is owned by the creator of the Mythic Mobs plugin and is used as a test-bed for his wildest and most insidious creations. Forget about zombies and skellies – on Elseland, you’ll be facing tornados, earthquakes, rains of fire, and giants accompanied by hoards of minions. Good luck and have fun!
