Tobi is one of the main enemies of the Naruto series who, among other things, played an integral role in the formation of Akatsuki, was directly responsible for the Nine-Tails' Attack on Konoha and served as a covert participant in the Uchiha Clan Massacre. He is known as a harbinger of destruction, and a master of deception, whose history is predominantly shrouded in mystery. To further his plans, he has claimed to be the legendary shinobi Madara Uchiha with plans of global domination.
