The RUSTOASTCORP Extreme Arctic Exploration Scout Light Protogen Unit Model RT0-45T is light protogen unit bioegineered specifically to endure highly dangerous freezing enviornments for extended periods of time to collect data.

The unit is equipped with multiple internal navigational and data collecting instruments, making it highly useful for the exploration of dangerously cold environments. It is also equipped 4 highly sensitive biological ears that are able to detect fine vibrations in the air, giving the unit a hightend sense of its surroundings as well as exceptional hearing.

The unit runs extremely hot on the inside, allowing it to stay functional in temperatures as low as -420°F/-250°C. The internal heat generated to keep the unit functional in such temperatures is dangerously high. Excess heat is expelled in the form of an invisible vapor through the multiple exhaust vents located throughout the body. The vents can also be utilized to melt frozen material and, if deployed with a scouting party, keep members of the scouting party warm.

Due to the conditions that this unit operates in, it is considerably more cybernetic than biological compared to most protogen units. This drastically reduces the unit's need for organic food, allowing it to survive on electrical power alone for several Earth years. Despite having minimal organs, it still relies on a biological brain, giving it the same natural intelligence, range of emotions, and free will of any other protogen unit.

The unit is entirely self sufficient, and can operate alone indefinitely without need of resupply or infrastructure. This is possible because of the unit's Internal [​REDACTED] Power System and emergency power supply.

If severe damage were to occur to the Internal [​REDACTED] Power System, the unit is able to extend its life by powering down all systems not essential for survival and remain in stasis using the emergency power supply until rescue.
