LEGEND OF THE DOTHAZRI

It was a dark and stormy night as Steve sprinted back to his home. It was a particularly mysterious night, considering the vast quantity of monsters in the surrounding forest. But, surely enough, Steve returned to his cottage safely. He reached his cold, wet hand up on the oaken doorknob and began to open the door. The door creaked open, only to be closed with a thud, and immediately locked. Steve darted up the cobblestone stairs and into the bedroom. He jumped into the bed, and quickly pulled the red blanket over his cold body.

CRASH!!! Steve awoke. He looked out his cloudy window and saw a flash of lightning. Steve rose out of his bed and stared out the window. BZZZT! Another bolt of lightning, this time appearing to hit a man. Steve's heart began to pound against his chest as he stood in shock.

Almost instantly, the storm began to subside. Steve rushed to find the poor man struck by lightning, but he was no where to be found, only... what appeared to be a cow that was eaten alive. Worried, Steve ran back to his house and locked the doors. He slept through the night and rose the next morning to investigate.

As he left his house he discovered another animal, except this time, it was a pig. Dazed and confused, Steve surveyed the surrounding hills. He searched high and low and finally found a cave. The cave was glowing with a faint light. He drew his diamond sword and slowly, but bravely, creeped in. He followed the light into a dark, damp room lit by fire. It seemed to have been inhabited recently, but that wasn't what worried Steve. Steve gazed in horror at the symbols written in blood on the cave wall.

Strangled by fear, Steve sprinted out of the cave to find yet another deceased, bloody animal, but this time it wasn't alone. Wandering off in the distance was what appeared to be a dark creature. It was human sized. Could this have been the legendary Herobrine that the elders spoke of. Steve pondered the idea, but then disproved it when he got a closer look. The creature had six horns protruding from its head, and purple skin. Steve had never seen anything like it before. It seemed that for once, there was a creature that even monsters feared.

That night, Steve gathered all the hope and courage he could find, and set out to find this beast. Clothed in diamond armor, and carrying a diamond sword, Steve took his first step. He walked toward the cave. Step by step by step, the light glowed even brighter and brighter until suddenly.... the light disappeared. Footsteps echoed louder and louder and louder until the creature emerged. It let out a horrible screech and leaped at Steve. It tackled him and knocked him to the ground. It screamed and squealed, then Steve drew his sword and dismembered the arm.

The beast squealed and jumped off of Steve. Its arm began to grow back, but no matter, it ran off. It jumped onto a cliff 10 times its height and darted off at superhuman speeds. Steve, shaken, ran to the nearest village of Atlantica, and warned the townspeople. He then returned home to lock all of his doors and without hesitation, climb into bed and drift into a deep slumber.

That was the story of the first meeting with what the townspeople came to call, a Dothazri. There were few other sightings by groups of hunters hoping to claim the 25 gold nugget reward. But the strange thing is, nobody knows where it came from. No other monsters were this size, with the exception of zombies and endermen, and none of the monsters had horns or purple skin. Groups of townspeople came up with different theories; some being it was a creature from the Nether, or the End, and some even claimed it came from space. But Steve's encounter has been the only close meeting of this creature.

It has been 23 years since the last sighting of the Dothazri.... until now.
