Edelgard's new design from Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes.
For a while now I've been giving my skins epithets, often based on the character's appearance in Fire Emblem Heroes or the title of their ingame ending, but with this one I had to make up my own, since Edelgard doesn't have many appropriate titles. I chose "solar" from her fire-based personal ability Solar Prominence, and to match with Dimitri's tempest/lightning theming and Claude's dust/wind theming, since these aspects were highlighted in Three Hopes moreso than in Three Houses.
Having now played through the majority of Scarlet Blaze as my second route, I am beginning to see the ways in which the writers have tried to avoid making the Three Hopes stories a set of "golden endings". On the one hand, it is interesting to see how Edelgard is able to work towards her ambitions without the help of Those Who Slither in the Dark, but it seems the writers equally wanted to highlight the role of Byleth in guiding the three house leaders (as well as their academy education in leadership and strategy, lol) in this alternate timeline.
(I will probably post my summer house leader skins next, Three Hopes Claude might have to wait until I start playing his route.)
