Good ol' Captain Faris, like his fellow Warriors of Light in Final Fantasy V, can take on one of several Jobs that bestow special skills and magical mastery. One of the very first Jobs they have access to is the stoic Knight. As the only job in the initial set that can wear heavy armour, Knights are ideal physical tanks that can deal just as much damage as they take. They can only wield knives, swords and knight swords, among which happen to be some of the most powerful weapons in the game, which offsets that limitation.

A Knight who trains diligently will not only learn to defend their comrades in battle, but also gain access to heavy armour and swords regardless of the user's current Job. You can't go wrong with a simple, steadfast warrior.
