Day 7 of daily uploads!
I don't think I'll keep up the daily schedule any longer. It's not that I've burnt myself out, I wouldn't say that. It's just that the pressure of making something every day was more than I had expected, especially when I didn't want to compromise on quality. It was fun, and i think I learnt some useful things for future skins. I hope you all enjoyed seeing the new skins each day.

Now that I've said my piece, I have to settle something about this character and it's to do with his name.

If you're interested in the older Fire Emblem games, you're probably aware of the purgatory Thracia 776 has been in for years in terms of a complete, modern translation. Until relatively recently we were very lucky to have had some key character names translated during the localisation of Awakening, including the character this skin is based on, who at the time would have his name translated as Orsin. It's a perfectly good name, and nobody seemed to mind, except the people who continued to call him Othin because they were used to it, which will always happen with a name change like that.

Then towards the end of last year we got a new set of characters from Thracia in the Fire Emblem Heroes mobile game, including Osian. Yes, Osian. Seemingly out of nowhere the rug was pulled from under us and the character had been renamed again. In the time since, I've seen lots of people joke about how confusing the constant name changes can be, to say nothing of whatever you want to call this man's personal axe (the tags for this skin might be a bit of a mess).

I'd just like to clear things up here, since the localisation team changed his name without having him say it to confirm the pronunciation.

Osian is the Welsh or Anglicised version of the name Oisín, which belongs to a hero of Irish mythology who was a member of the Fianna (Osian is from the town of Fiana, which is what gives this name a pretty solid basis as the most accurate translation).

I can see two reasonable ways of pronouncing this name (in this spelling):
oash-een (oash as in "ocean", the rest is simple) - this is the anglicised pronunciation of the mythical name.

osh-un (osh as in the name Josh, un with the "u" sound of words like "bucket") - My desperate internet search for answers tells me that this is the pronunciation more common among those with this name in modern day Wales or Ireland, although i am not exactly able to verify these claims, so you'll have to take my word for it

I think it's probably supposed to be the first one.

I'm sorry if you read all of that, but I felt like putting it out there after all the confused Googling I've done to get to the bottom of it.
I'll put the usual pictures of the character here now, shall I?

No, no wait, I forgot to put a 2 pixel eye version somewhere in the description. I'll just put it here.
