I read LaurenAngel's post, and I decided to sub, for a couple of reasons.
1- You should NEVER feel left out. If it's something with the higher ups of the skinning community, just think that the popular group is what you make it out to be, and if you keep on feeding yourself lies that a- you could never be one of them or b- that they'll never pay attention to you, then you're just beating yourself up and they might actually believe you.
2- Second of all, if you're feeling rejected because maybe you don't have enoough subs, or you can't create skins as well as others, or yoour levels aren't going up as fast as you want, just look at me. I've started over several times, and the highest level I've ever been to is 3. My shading technique sucks, the people I look up to don't always look back down at me, my profile is pretty un-fab and I can never get anyone to take a skin OR art request from me. I know this, but I've fallen into routine with this. Really, I don't care anymore. And you shouldn't either. Try your hardest, and be consistent, and one today you will be in the high group like all the others.
I subscribed to you not only should a human being NEVER EVER feel left out, but because I'm shining the light on those who deserve it, and your skins look pretty decent anyway.
Never be sad. We've lost a lot of great skinners because of depression and subscibrers and attention.
Hang in there - even if it's the only thing you do.
1- If you're doing several ombres going from one to the other, but have a main colour overall (like black on yours) focus not on the other colors, but on the transition from the black to the rest! It makes your life soooo much easier.
2-Do your regular hair routine, and THEN add the colors.
3- Lastly, instead of just plopping the colors you want on your hair, slowly and subtly transition similar colors in between the two to even it out until the most similar color touches the color you want. The more colors you want, the more hair area you're going to need.
Hoped that helped! :D
