Thought I'd give the Skin Fight a go. I tried a few other skins before getting around to DinowCookie's Rocket Boy but they didn't pan out well. I'll give them another go maybe.
Rocket Boy was pretty good though - there's something about this skin, Knight's Orion and a few others which I can really work with when it comes to remaking them. I dunno how to explain it yet, hopefully I'll find the words soon.
EDIT: I think they're so well-conceived that there's something for me to take in a different direction. Though you could say the same for a lot of other skins in the event that I can't quite work as well with. I oughta think it through a bit more, or go for a walk and maybe it'll come to me.
Also I'm very very happy with how the colours came out. Haven't quite been feeling my palettes in a bit (not just in my published skins but also in a few I've left incomplete),. The bright, rich colours here were very satisfying to use. I reckon they capture the energy of the skin quite well too ^-^

The Rocket Lad - last seen flying toward the heavens, his face afoul with anguish. We can only speculate on the true cause behind his disappearance. If he's out there, I hope he's doing better now.
