Spider-Nova: The Astro-Spider




Eight months ago, while stargazing on a rooftop, Nova Parker was bitten by a radioactive spider--one from another dimension that escaped from Alchemax--becoming the one and only Spider-Woman. She could walk on walls, shoot cosmic webs, see beyond the visible spectrum on command, and sense galaxy-wide disturbances with her spidey sense. Nova had always dreamt of making a change, just not in the way the universe had planned for her.

Backstory: Nova's mother moved from South Korea to New York City before Nova was born to join Alchemex and help advance science, primary in the space field. She met Nova's father, a police officer, one morning in a coffee shop when he accidently spilt his latte on her. He helped her get cleaned up and brought her back to her apartment. They saw eachother at the shop a few times each week and got closer over the years before dating. After two years, Nova's father proposed at a rooftop dinner, and their little Supernova was born soon after their wedding. Nova inherited her father's clumsiness and height, but all of her mothers physical traits. She was always interested in her parents' fields of work, especially her mothers. Nova always dreamed of making a scientific breakthrough that could change the world, or achieving something big that would help people. But she hesitated when she was bit and finally had the chance to showcase her abilities. Nova was beyond scared to show these powers to her parents, more so to her mother. She feared that she would become nothing more than an experiment or that she would disappoint her parents. So, following her father's ideals, she decided to help fight crime, and for the past eight months Nova Parker has been the one and only Spider-Woman.
