This is my Secret Santa's gift for DragonsDungeon. When I was scrolling thrue the comments there was a lot of references that seemed both challenging and inspiring, I wished to do one of those, and his one was. Hours before Auri pm'd me I replied to his comment without knowing I'll be his santa, what a foreshadowing.
My creative process was quit different, starting by the head in heavy detail (that's kinda a beginner mistake, but I want it to get it right). Workes in grayscale, focusing in volume and shape, since the skin is highly textured. I tried to break the squared model with the leg design. I changed some elements from the reference, like adding flesh wings and moving the opening to the front. I couldn't integrate well the red and bone parts with the rest of the body, maybe I restricted the palette and in the future I should plan a gradient to fuse these colors, I lower the red saturation yesterday. For the hand I studied how DragonsDungeon and VinylReplica do arms, but I rotated them so it feels more like dino's arms.
I think that it's a good skin for the skill level I currently am, and helped me to work on texture and shape, I used a lot of the second layer too. It can be improved once I develop further knowledge/techniques and put more work onto it, but I really love the head, is awesome. I'm always open to constructive criticism.
Hope you like it, happy holidays.

I really like how you did the arms and wings, those parts are always tough in a zombie dragon, and I think you nailed them good! The back overall of the skin is really clean and good.
I think for the front, you overcomplicate the skin in some places, ie. mostly torso and face, where the shading is a bit intense, and very difficult to make out what actually is. Now this is a zombie dragon, where I actually consider such a thing somewhat acceptable, because it makes sense. But I think you're perhaps just a bit over the line, where it doesn't distract from the rest.
Thanks a lot for this, always appreciate a good zombie dragon, and you did a great job (:!
(Btw I love your write-up on the process and thoughts, that's a great and utmost interesting bit)
I'm thinking in write that process and thoughts everytime I feel I make a major advancement, reflection should help in my learning.
