What if the shulker was actually able to camouflage, like the first idea mojang had in mind for him?
That's what inspired this pack, that changes the shulker to adapt to its surroundings, that means only the block below it. There are also many renamable variants, you can se in the gallery

Yeah, about that... With this update we now have many new renamables, including the Charred, the Shulkerman, the Manshulker and some shulkerballs (which are just pokeballs), but we also have a new naturally spawning variant that camouflages even more and with even more blocks! You can also get it with renaming a shulker to "camouflage" if you don't want to get it by luck.
To compensate, there's a new variant that does NOT camouflage, at all.
DESCRIPTION
Adapting Shulkers changes the texture of the shulker , making it feel more sturdy or, in other scenarios, more wooly. It adds some variants only available if the shulker spawned on certain blocks, mostly purpur, or renamed.
It also gives him the ability to change color based on the block it spawned on (or was when the pack was reloaded). But because there are too many blocks and because having more variants would lose the feel of an original, for now i'll stick to only end blocks like purpur, endstone, bedrock and obsidian, with some exeptions like sculk for the Sculker and the rare camouflage shulker that adapts to many more blocks like grass or netherrack.

Other than that, shulkers can change style based on the glazed terracotta under them, but only if its the same color as the shulker itself.
the shulker box IS affected, that means placing your shulker box on a glazed terracotta of the same color will affect its look.
The pack also slightly changes the shulker bullet to use the same palette as the new shulker
This pack is my approach at shulkers, like railiable is my approach at rails and minecarts.

Respackopts compatibility
The pack has gained compatibility to Respackopts: for now you can only choose if the familiar shulker should have the original texture or the same texture but with the color palette used on the regular shulker.

Sorry, tho I'll check it out because it might actually have something I didn't know about! Can't check the files now I'm on vacation)
Edit: oh wait I already saw it when it came out, I shall say that it looks good, and I like that it has themed heads to the shulkers
But the light gray one is just a scribble of cables, makes me think of that old creepypasta of the cable guy Error
P.S. Sorry about the light grey shulker, this is my first time making a "real" texture pack (all my other packs were either simplification or utility). My theme with that one was just a bunch of wires coming out of a central .... thing. But hey, at least I tried :) lol

You just have to practice a bit, if I had to let you see my very first handmade skin, probably the gray shulker would have been a masterpiece in comparison.
In fact, you can just look at those textures I published like the one of the spawn eggs, the overworld icon remade, hell even torturable healthbars, my most popular pack, that just uses mob textures because I did not know how to draw "good".After some practice, I landed on the style I now use for railiable, adapting shulkers and my future projects.
If you want some advice (primarily this is what I've done) , I'd recommend you to remake regularly one texture from the game, I started daily, from blocks you see the most (I did stone, but with the passing time it turned out to become ice) and I got inspired by packs I really like, like coquet. Now some of my textures are being used as the camouflage shulker, like stone, ice, bedrock, netherrack, not dirt. One thing I learned by watching other blocks and textures is that not many shades of the same color are used, and that changed my whole prospective.
It's all your choice tho, but I'd suggest to use some programs to make textures, like aseprite, other than the one you already use(I use paint.net other than aseprite) (aseprite has some nice additions other programs I've seen do not have, like tiling and pixel perfect paint and custom brushes)(I'm not against piracy)
Anyway, what I just wrote is what I have done, but I really should not tell you how to start to draw, you should discover by yourself , or else we'd have more than one EnderB_C_
I'm taking long however because I don't like being efficient and I'm making 3 more resource packs, 2 or 4 humongous datapacks with loads of smoothly animated mobs, new blocks (yeah new blocks with datapacks!) and atleast 4 bosses for one of these packs. Also I'll release huge updates to torturable healthbars version 2.1 when 1.21 will come out, with a new alternative that will be compatible with any mob reskin (and will obviously be called Compatible Healthbars) other than maintaining THFA along side TH.
I know I'm making so much stuff. I spoilered so many things that I can just tell you that the next RP I'll publish will regard the way armorstands pose their body part, simple stuff before releasing the really big resource packs and star to work more on the datapacks, which are about 20% complete.
