Latest Updates
2.4 Here we are, finally! A new release of the pack, getting us up to date with the latest minecraft version, with tons of new features and technical changes that affect both optimization and compatibility! New armor, nautili, copper golems, happy ghasts, mob reworks, bug fixes and correctly held items (pun intended) for each humanoid mob. Compatible Healthbars is being abandoned, or better, merged with both TH and THFA. Yes, all these changes have also been ported to THFA, so i don’t have to do a CHFA pack!
Also, if you didn’t notice from the huge banner on top of the page, I'm partnered with SparkedHost! So if you want a cheap server and would like it to be cheaper and/or you would like to support me a bit, you can use my code “EnderBC”.
below is a list of all the changes:

- many fixes
Im also changing the way i handle these updates, instead of x.y versions (like 2.4) i will be making x.y.z (idk like 2.4.1) versions, that will contain like 1 or 2 mobs but will let me publish updates at a more frequent rate, literally every time i finish i mob i can just update the pack. Then it will go to 2.5 when there will be significant changes, like updating to Minecraft 26.1, with all the new baby mobs.
Below is a list of all the mobs that have to be updated to this new model format

Missing mobs (43/82)
This list contains all the mobs that i have to add or redo, most of them are passives, but considering the focus of the pack is hostiles im actually pretty close to finishing

Description of the pack
This resource pack changes the texture of all hostile and neutral (non-real) mobs based on their health! Also with a built in addon you can get every other neutral and pacific mob that has not been added in the base game (not really, some are missing)! For a total of 350+ new variants!
I made it because I think that seeing a bar above every mob doesn't look as good as its usefulness. Also this way you can know how many sword swings you need to kill your enemy without breaking the immersion. For example i coded the zombies to have a different texture for every wooden sword swing
Some mobs also have animated blood, look how cool it is

Another thing is a bit of usefulness in PvP, with chipped armor and shields, that can be turned off if you don't want it using the Respackopts mod

Variations of this pack
This project has a version that uses Fresh's Animations; found over here
Addons
This pack uses Respackopts to let you toggle on/off many options, including the oldest community-suggested Addons like Green Bleed (suggested by The Great Magispeller) and Ills Kills (suggested by MorrisHD) on Planet minecraft, and also has many built-in addons like Humanoids and Pacifics, that adds the pack to villagers and passive mobs.

Known Issues
-TH is incompatible with Epic Combat, that is the mod's fault i cannot do anything about it
-TH is missing compatibility for a TON of mobs, at the top of the page is a list of all the missing mobs, highlighted by a yellow and black "safety" tape
Planned
- add compatibility for all the remaining mobs
How about Bedrock Edition?
Luckly for you, a really cool dude called Akazq ported the pack from java to bedrock, found over here
DEPENDENCIES
The pack is made for 1.21+. If you want to play with versions below 1.21 of the game, you can still use older versions of this pack, but its not guaranteed that there won't be problems with some entities. I still try to make the pack as compatible as possible to all those versions.

Dependencies (in-depth
Optifine or EMF + ETF
Required for seeing any changes to mobs. Keep in mind that Optifine is unable to show armor damage.
MoreMCMeta or Animatica (or Optifine i guess)
Optional, if you want animated mob textures.
ImmediatelyFast
Optional, need is disabled by default but removing compatibility with fresh player animations. Can be turned on with respackopts, highly recommended to correctly see armors, just to fix a bug that breaks armor trims. It doesn't depend on me, we have to wait for mojang to fix rendering or for Traben to bless us all with custom trim models (i don't even think it's possible). Other alternatives would impact greatly FPS, quality and stability in general.
Respackopts
Optional, so that you can enable/disable features.

2.4.2 : by EnderB_C_ 05/10/2026 6:42:29 amMay 10 @ 10:42 am UTC
Back again with small updates. 2.4.2 has actually been exactly how it is now for atleast a month, but i’ve been busy and didn’t have time do add the new baby mobs. The next update should bring the tiny takeover models to the pack
below is a list of all the changes:
below is a list of all the changes:
- reworked armor rendering system, it now uses the player model by default to apply the damage so that trims are not affected, making the ImmediatelyFast mod not required anymore, but this means player animation packs are incompatible. Can still be switched back to the old way that uses ImmediatelyFast in the respackopts menu so that you can use animations.
- reworked chicken to be compatible
- fixed ills kills addon (wasn’t compatible)
- respackopts menu has been reworked and reorganized
- lang and font files have been reorganized
- Rechecked minecraft version compatibility, looks like this pack works flawlessly from 1.20.6 upwards
- the secret has been removed
- some other small fixes (that i don’t remember rn)
