A Fleshier take on netherrack.


I'm personally a big fan of the original netherrack texture from alpha 1.2-1.12, and as such I've spent a while trying to adapt the design into the modern style. My design's based on the texture update tests' old design and the classic netherrack. I also included a new glowstone and a small edit to soul sand.

This is the result:

I plan to make the entire nether slightly impacted by the pack, to give it a similarly gnarly design. This pack will be part of my Legacy Spritework Remade collection, where I intend to make classic designs on more high-end pixel art. Mostly so fans of Programmer Art's designs can have that feel with modern mods that emulate the current artstyle.



I also plan to include mod support for nether affecting mods with custom netherrack variants, which I suggest you ask for in the discord.

man i love this. i always liked the way the old netherrack looked so spooky. this is a perfekt modern take on it

If the nether is actually made out of flesh, imagine the gooey flesh sound it makes for each step, your mother would've thought you have an another "man session" judging from the sounds of flapping and clapping flesh, but really, you are trekking through the depths of hell where the golden madmen and the white mourner reside
