This resource pack makes the Ghast cooler looking (in my opinion). All textures edited by me. Ghasts now have a full visual of them shooting a fireball from their mouths, and under the ghast there is also a fireball but I plan on maybe changing this to lava/heat.

to do emissive light you make a folder in assets minecraft > and make a folder named optifine then make a .properties file named emissive and paste the following text below into the emissive.properties file.
suffix.emissive=_e
then, if you want an emissive texture for the ghast, copy the picture you want, like ghast.png and paste a new one named ghast_e.png, and that will be emissive, and transparency is allowed in those files
you need optifine for that and the following setting emissive textures on, located options > video settings > quality > emissive textures

Thank you so much for telling me this, but is there a way to specifically get the texture for the ghast firing to be emissive or do I just name it the same way but with _e at the end?

Just the same, but with _e. Just erase anything you don't want to glow.
