Legend of Zelda is my favorite video game series. When Minecraft first introduced shields, I just knew that I had to make a Hylian shield model and I immediately did.

I've finally gotten around to uploading it to PMC for everyone to use (7 years after shields were added to the game haha). Enjoy!

Note: you won't be able to customize the shield with banners or anything. You don't need Optifine for this resource pack.

Is it compatible with bedrock? As a Bedrock player myself i need a good looking shield texture

I don't play Bedrock so I created this resource pack specifically for Java. However, I haven't tried it on Bedrock; you are welcome to try but it probably won't work. Anyways, it's been broken since the 1.21.3(?) update so I have to get around to updating this.

Because of the nature of the shield model (a replacement of the vanilla model/texture), you cannot customize the Hylian shield with banners.

that's a shame. banners on shields use a completely different set of textures, so it's totally possible to make them fit the hylian shield style.

With that in mind and if that was possible each of the banners designs could vary of each game's unique shields like the upgrade lineup for Goddess Shield and the mirror shields!

Thanks for the comment! I agree that that Hylian Shield is really iconic to the Legend of Zelda series so I'm glad that my simple resource pack evoked memories of LOZ.

Twilight Princess is my favorite game of the series.
