An ouroboros is a circular symbol depicting a snake, or less commonly a dragon, swallowing its tail, as an emblem of wholeness or infinity. I think it's a symbol from ancient Egypt.

But yeah, ive heard about snakes trying to eat themselves before. I've also heard that if you put hand sanitizer in the snakes mouth, it'll spit its tail out due to the bitter taste.
