As we would say in Romecraft: Salve Amicis!

I am thrilled to unveil a new resource pack that I have been working on, designed to pay homage to the incredible textures developed by our community's founder, Stugace. As the title would suggest, Romecraft II is a new generation of Roman themed textures designed to immerse players in the ancient world. With over a decades worth of development, Romecraft has established itself as a powerfully comprehensive pack.

The resource pack utilizes the latest version of Optifine (1.20.4) with nbt.data tags that require renaming items or adding lore to the item. Having amassed hundreds of custom models and textures, the staff at RomeCraft II seek to expand upon this mountain of untapped potential with a server dedicated not only to the Romans, but also encompassing the entirety of the Mediterranean.

Update #10 - Server Launch is Nearing! : by RomeCraft II 11/07/2024 1:37:12 pmNov 7th

With over a year of development this resource pack has really shaped up quite well! The team at RomeCraft II has been very helpful with their feedback, suggestions for improvement, and their support to carry on. With that said, I have been quite busy with school and managing the project but rest assured this pack is my special project and I won't be giving up on it anytime soon. Stay tuned for more updates and join us on Discord to see updates on new textures, upcoming news on the server, and to talk about all things Rome and Ancient Greece!

While I can't give a specific date yet, the work we've been doing has brought us ever closer to launching. I'll be posting a devblog soon so people on PMC can get a better idea of what all we're trying to accomplish. The wait is definitely worth it!

Long shot, but do you have a version of this that could work with 1.12.2? Looking forward to this, I loved the old Romecraft Germania pack back from 1.7.2 (when I used to play Minecraft a lot but stopped)

If you open pack.mcmeta with a text editor, you can change the # after "pack_format" from 15 to 3 and that might be a quick solution. Though I cannot guarantee it!

No, I probably won't get around to that. My priority is to make this pack for my server which uses Java.
